Using Qualys Free Community Edition to Scan Home Network

Qualys has provided a community edition for people to use. It has some limitation on the host numbers but it is a good tool to find out your home hosts' vulnerabilities. This video has recorded the steps I have taken to complete this task: 1. register Qualys account 2. log in to Qualys Community Edition 3. Download virtual appliance 4. Install Qualys virtual appliance into home Virtualization environment -ESXi 5. Complete one vulnerability scan 6. Complete one Web Vulnerability scan. 7. Check scan reports. The free Qualys Community Edition allows you to: 1. Monitor up to 16 internal assets with Qualys Cloud Agent 2. Scan up to 16 internal and 3 external IPs with Qualys Vulnerability Management 3.
