Download replacement kernel

The CentOS6 kernel is replaced with: 2.6.32-504.3.3.el6.x86_64
The CentOS7 kernel is replaced with: 3.10.0-229.1.2.el7.x86_64

Check if the kernel is installed successfully

If it shows that there is this kernel in it, that’s right.

Restart to see if kernel is successfully replaced

Reboot machine and check the kernel again:

[root@centos7-test1 ~]# uname -r

3.10.0-229.1.2.el7.x86_64

[root@centos7-test1 ~]# rpm -ivh http://soft.91yun.pw/ISO/Linux/CentOS/kernel/kernel-3.10.0-229.1.2.el7.x86_64.rpm --force
